Integrate Google Desktop for Mac into Firefox
Firefox on the Mac provides a dedicated box to search the internet. You can use that box to search your computer with Google Desktop for Mac as well. Follow these instructions:
Open google.com in a new Firefox tab. Click the Desktop link above the search box, and then click the [Search Desktop] button without entering anything in the search box. The page will now have a location similar to:
http://127.0.0.1:4664/search&s=S0meL3tt3rsAndNumb3rs?q=&btnG=Search+Desktop
Copy the location of your page into the box below. Click [Go] and select [Ok] in the 'Add Search Engine' dialog that will pop up.
